Bihani, Mr. Soumya Mukherjee, Advocates ... for the WBPCB In this public interest petition the petitioner has sought a direction to the respondents not to allow heavy vehicles (trucks and lorries) to ply in the village road connecting National Highway from Thakurpara (Salbadra) to Amba (Fatehpur) in Rampurhat area in Mayureswar Block-I under Birbhum district.

Further direction is sought to stop the illegal stone crusher units in Salbadra area (from Thakurpara to Masra and Hastikanda).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after filing of this petition, the NGT had passed the requisite order, in compliance of which operation of the stone crushers and plying of the vehicles in the concerned area have been stopped.

In view of the above submission nothing survives in this petition, which is accordingly disposed of, however with liberty to the petitioner to

WPA 7767 of 2018 approach the appropriate forum if any fresh cause of action arises in future.
