His appearance may be regularized by the concerned authority.

Ld. advocate for the petitioner/defacto-complainant submits that Rampurhat P.S. Case No. 545 of 2020 has been pending for a considerable period of time and there has been no progress in the trial of the case.

I find from the records of the case that the case was registered for investigation under sections 447/448/323/325/354/302/34 of the IPC.

Having regard to the gravity of the offence, I direct that the ld. trial court in seisin of the matter would take steps for expediting the whole process of the case. It is also found that till date the case has not been committed and it is found that some of the accused persons are still absconding. Ld. Magistrate, if required, would exhaust the

process in respect of absconding accused and thereafter split up the case.

Ld. court would take steps for expediting the trial and commit the case to the ld. Sessions Court. The ld. Sessions Court would, in its wisdom, fix date for consideration of charges and if, after consideration of charges, ld. trial court is of the opinion that the trial of the case should be completed, in that case, a schedule be fixed consisting of three dates and such schedule be fixed once in every two months so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. The ld. Public Prosecutor conducting the case would produce the materials, exhibits and documents on the next date fixed for examination of the witnesses. All stakeholders would cooperate with the ld. trial court so that the trial of the case can be completed at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1429 of 2023 is disposed of.
