Reports submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the progress of Madhyamgram Police Station Case No. 140 of 2025 dated 27.02.2025. The investigation of the case primarily reflects that the same is still being carried out.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner being sister of the victim girl is unaware regarding the progress and also not happy with the manner in which the investigation is progressing.

I have considered the report submitted by the Inspector-in-Charge, Madhyamgram Police Station and also references to the initial acts conducted by North Port Police Station. Having considered regarding the gravity of the offence, I direct that the Superintendent of Police, Barasat Police District will monitor the investigation of the case once a

week and in every fifteen days would submit a report before the jurisdictional court relating to progress, steps and the reasons for any delay in the investigation of the case.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 9280 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
