The petitioners submit that the Asansol Municipal Corporation acquired some portions of the petitioners' land for construction of high water reservoir. The Asansol Municipal Corporation was obliged to offer a job to the petitioners under the land losers' category. The same has not been offered till date. Repeated representations made by the petitioners were also not answered by the Corporation.

None represents the respondents.

Affidavit-of-service filed today be kept with the records.

From the documents annexed to the writ petition, there is nothing to show that the land of the petitioners was acquired by the Corporation. The GO/Memo/Order under which the Corporation was supposed to provide compassionate appointment to the petitioners under the land losers' category is also not annexed.

There is nothing on record to suggest that the petitioners are entitled to the job as claimed. On the basis of the representations without any supporting documents, it will not be possible for the Corporation to decide the issue.

In view of non-availability of relevant documents, the Court is also not in a position to pass any order in favour of the petitioners.

Hence, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in the instant writ petition.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. In the event, the petitioners are able to procure documents in support of their claim then it will be upon for the petitioners to apply before the Asansol Municipal Corporation annexing relevant document in support of their claim.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
