1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be taken on record.

2. The petitioner claims to be an unmarried daughter of Late Pulin Behari Kunti an Assistant Teacher under the District Primary School Council, South 24 Parganas.

3. The petitioner's father died in the year 2007 while receiving pension. Thereafter pension was being paid to the petitioner's mother until 31st December, 2013 when she died.

4. The petitioner has applied for pension as unmarried daughter on 3rd January, 2022 and has not received any response from the respondents.

5. This Court, therefore, directs the District Inspector of Schools (PE), South 24 Parganas to make enquiries as regards the status of the petitioner i.e. as to whether she is unmarried and was dependent on her father and forward the same to the Director of

Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance, West Bengal.

6. The Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance, West Bengal shall thereupon, if satisfied, proceed to issue Pension Payment Order in favour of the petitioner. Pension shall be payable to her with effect from 3rd January, 2022.

7. The District Inspector of Schools (PE), South 24 Parganas and the Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance, West Bengal shall carry out the above directions within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a communication of this order along with the writ petition.

8. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

9. There will be no order as to costs.
