Mr. Biswas, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, the writ petition is for direction upon the supply company to provide electricity to his client's flat. His client is tenant in respect of the flat. Private respondent no. 7 is the landlord. Existing electric supply to the flat was disconnected by said respondent. Hence, application for new connection. He submits, the supply company by letters dated 26th March, 2021 and 27th March, 2021 had requested information of particulars of flat number from his client. Such information was given. Mr. Mukherjee, learned advocate appears on behalf of the supply company. He submits, his client went for inspection but was resisted by private respondent no. 7. Furthermore, said respondent has caused theft of electricity.

The supply company will produce this order before the police station, within whose local limits is situate the flat in question, to obtain assistance for inspection and installation of meter for purpose of supply to petitioner, if petitioner's occupation is found fit for such new connection supply. The inspection and thereupon installation of new meter and connection is to be done preferably within two weeks but positively within three weeks from date. For the purpose, the supply company will have access to the meter room in the premises ensured by the police. This order is being made since Mr. Biswas categorically submits that copy of the writ petition was served on private respondent no. 7, who goes unrepresented.

With above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
