Titagarh, P.S. Khardaha, District North 24 Parganas, PIN-700 019.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Calcutta Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (CESC) submits that the connection has not been provided due to obstruction caused by respondent no. 8, who is the brother of the petitioner.

Despite being served, respondent no. 8 is not represented in these proceedings.

It is apparent that respondent no. 8 resides on the ground floor of the premises and is currently utilising the electricity connection provided by CESC.

In light of the above, CESC is hereby directed to provide the electricity connection in favor of the petitioner within

three weeks from the date of this order, subject to the petitioner fulfilling the necessary formalities. The Officer-in-Charge of Khardaha Police Station shall extend all necessary assistance to the CESC officials for the purpose of providing the electricity connection. The connection shall be effected through a loop meter from the existing meter board position. Should the need arise, the police are authorized to break open the padlock on the meter room. The costs of such police assistance shall be borne by the petitioner.

Accordingly, WPA 9542 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
