For the petitioner Mr. Pratick Bose ... for the State This revisional application has been filed for an expeditious hearing of the case being CR case No. 38 of 2012 initiated under the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881. Petitioner submits that the case is pending for about 10 years.

Keeping in mind that in the pandemic situation delay in disposal of the case cannot be attributed to the learned Court below. However, as it appears that the case is pending for about 9 years, I dispose of this revisional application giving a direction upon the learned Judicial Magistrate, 5th Court at Serampore, Hooghly to make an endeavour for disposal of the case as early as possible, preferably within a period of one year from date. Mr. Pratick Bose, learned advocate for the State has been requested by this Court to appear in this matter. Let his appearance be regularised.

CRR No. 1325 of 2021 is disposed of.
