Sumitra Mondal And Others v. State Of West Bengal And ORS.
W.P.A. 9431 of 2023 Sumitra Mondal & Ors.
VS The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mr. Golam Karim Chowdhury.
... for the Petitioners.
Mr. Amit Kr. Ghosh.
...for the State.
Affidavit-of-service filed by the petitioners be kept 27.03.2025 Court No. 35 Item No.9 Rakib with the record.
Petitioners are aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities and thereby have been denied adequate police protection. Learned advocate submits that he had been pursuing the cause as is reflected from the representation dated 29.03.2023 which was sent to the police station on 30.03.2023.
As none appears on behalf of the State, Mr. Amit Kr. Ghosh, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State is directed to represent the State. His appearance may be regularized by the concerned authorities.
In view of the representation having been filed with the Officer-in-Charge, Jibantala Police Station about two years ago, I am of the view that if the same inconveniences are faced by the petitioners, a fresh representation be submitted before the concerned police station. The Officer-in-Charge would assess whether any interference by the police authorities are required and in
case the same is warranted take steps in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid observations WPA 9431 of 2023 is disposed of.
