1. Petitioners seek quashing of a criminal case involving inter alia under Sections 498A/328/304B/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/ 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, pending before learned Additional District Judge-II, at Bongaon, North 24 Parganas.

2. Petitioners rely upon a settlement entered into between the private parties.

3. Offences for which, the petitioners are being proceeded against are non compoundable.

4. The fact that, a written agreement was entered into between the private parties in relation to such criminal case suggests that, petitioners are with sufficient influence so as to impinge upon the quality of the criminal case.

5. C.R.R. 1851 of 2025 is dismissed.
