Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner seeks electricity connection to operate his submersible pump.

Initially a stand was taken by the WBSEDCL that no submersible pump was found at the relevant location.

However, after a fresh inspection having been held pursuant to the direction of the court dated April 30, 2024, learned counsel for the WBSEDCL submits that the submersible pump has been located and a quotation has been raised taking into account that five electricity poles are required to be installed for giving the connection to the petitioner. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no copy of the quotation has been given to him.

As such, learned counsel for the WBSEDCL hands over a copy thereof to the learned Advocate for the petitioner here and now.

Since the WBSEDCL is of the opinion that for installing the said poles some time is required, as cultivation is going on in the area, it would only be appropriate if ninety days is given to the WBSEDCL for giving such connection to the petitioner. 7.

Accordingly, WPA 10316 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the petitioner to comply with the formalities, including the payments to be made on the basis of the quotation raised by the WBSEDCL, within a week from date.

Upon such formalities being complied with, the WBSEDCL shall give the electricity connection after taking due measures, including the installation of the necessary number of electricity poles, to the petitioner within an outer limit of ninety days from the date of compliance of formalities by the petitioner.

There will be no order as to costs.

10. Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
