In connection with Ranaghat police station case no. 159 of dated 18.3.2025 under Sections 126(2)/115(2)/75(2)/351(2) of the BNS.

1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. Despite service no one appears on behalf of the de-facto complainant/victim.

3. In view of the statements of witnesses contained in the case diary including the statement of the victim recorded before the learned Magistrate, I do not think that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required in this case. However, the movement of the petitioner shall be restricted for a limited period.

4. In the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- each with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also be subject to further conditions that the petitioner shall

cooperate with the investigation and the petitioner shall not threaten or intimidate witnesses. The petitioner shall meet the I.O once a fortnight till submission of report in final form and the petitioner shall stay outside the jurisdiction of Ranaghat Police Station for a period of six months from date, except for the purpose of meeting the I.O or attending the jurisdictional Court.

5. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is allowed.

6. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
