The petitioners participated in the recruitment process of 2016 as trained candidates. They claim that they obtained higher marks than the last appointed candidate in the General category in the Malda DPSC. 2.

Admittedly, the results of the 2016 recruitment process published in the year 2021. The writ petitioners have come belatedly in the year 2024 after expiry of the panel and appointment made thereunder.

Hence, no relief can be granted to the writ petitioners since the claim is hopelessly barred by delay and laches.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
