The revisional application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed by the petitioner for quashing of G.R. Case No.1679 of 2014 pending before Learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Calcutta is listed today for hearing. There is another direction by which the Department was asked to place a report after service of Administrative Notice to petitioner and opposite party no.2 through concerned police stations. On call none appears for the petitioner and the opposite party nos.1 and 2.

The report filed by Deputy Registrar dated 10.05.2022 states that notice was duly served upon O.P. No.2. But it is reported that the petitioner has expired on 27.04.2020 and a xerox copy of death certificate has been annexed. The report is kept with the record.

In view of the facts and circumstances, the revisional application has been rendered infructuous due to death of the sole petitioner. Accordingly, the revisional application is disposed of. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

Let a copy of this order be sent to Learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Calcutta for information with a direction to proceed with further hearing of the cases.
