Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury Ms. Debjani Sahu ... for the State This is an application seeking expeditious disposal of a proceeding in which a charge sheet was submitted under section 188 of the Penal Code read with Section 9B (1) (b) of the Indian Explosive Act.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an accused in this case. An F.I.R. was lodged on 04.11.2021. A charge sheet was submitted on 28.11.2021. In all, four witnesses were proposed to be examined by the prosecution. Although charges were framed on 27.12.2021, till date not a single witness could be examined The matter has remained pending for no fault on the part of the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that it does not appear that an inordinate delay has been caused in this case.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels for the appearing for the petitioner and the State and have perused the revision petition.

It appears that an F.I.R. was lodged only on 04.11.2021. A charge has already been framed. Therefore, it does not appear that an inordinate delay has been occasioned in this case. Therefore, there is no need to pass an order directing an expeditious disposal. However, it is expected that the learned Trial Court will conclude the proceeding at the earliest. With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
