I have perused the report submitted on behalf of the State and I find that almost 11 months have passed since the initiation of the investigation.

Having considered the progress of the investigation, which is reflected in the report, I am of the view that there is lack of efforts on behalf of the investigating officer.

Accordingly, the investigation of the

case be transferred to the Officer-in-charge of Anti Cheating Section, Detective Department, Lal Bazar, Kolkata.

The concerned Officer-in-charge of Anti Cheating Section would depute an officer of his choice for investigation of the case.

The present investigation officer would transmit the records including the Case Diary to the Officer-in-charge of Anti Cheating Section within one week from the date of communication of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 9629 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Since affidavits have not been invited, other allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
