Mr. Kalidas Saha Ms. Khushi Mollick Mr. Pikesh Kumar Chauhan ....for the petitioner Mr. Pritam Roy ....Amicus Memo of evidence filed on behalf of the State is taken on record. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner got married to the alleged victim about five years ago. The other in-laws have been granted anticipatory bail. Learned Amicus assisting the State relies on the case diary and opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the statement of the alleged victim as well as the statements of the neighbours. The prosecution case is that the petitioner had brought two unknown persons and asked his wife to disrobe in front of them. When she protested, she was allegedly assaulted. He also relies on the injury report.

Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities.
