1. The affidavit of service filed today is taken on record.

2. The petitioner is a non-teaching (Laboratory Attendant) staff, who was rendering his service in the Hiralal Bhakat College. However, petitioner's service was disrupted on account of a criminal proceeding, which had been filed against him. The petitioner had thereafter been enlarged on bail on certain conditions. These conditions were somewhat modified on his application and by an order dated January 15, 2026, he had been permitted to attend his place of work i.e. Hiralal Bhakat College but he had to remain within the jurisdiction of Nalhati Police Station on all working days in the said college. The petitioner is aggrieved that in spite of such an order, the petitioner has not been permitted by the respondent nos. 6, 7 and 8 to attend to his duties at the said college.

3. The order of January 15, 2026 is clear and unequivocal and permits the petitioner to attend his duties in the said college, without leaving the jurisdiction of Nalhati Police Station.

4. In view of the afore-stated order, Mr. Halder, learned Advocate appearing for the college, submits that provided the petitioner complies all other conditions, the college has no difficulty in allowing the petitioner to attend to his duties at the college.

5. In view of the afore-stated, the respondent college will permit the petitioner to attend to his duties on all working days from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. or till such time as may be fixed by the college in relation to the duties of the petitioner.

6. It is made clear that the petitioner will not leave the jurisdictional area of Nalhati Police Station under any circumstances.

7. With these afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

8. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.

9. Since the affidavits have not been called for, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed to be denied.
