The petitioners allege illegal encroachment upon Government land adjoining their property, thereby obstructing their egress and ingress. The petitioners submitted representation in this regard before the concerned authority on 14th January, 2023.

It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that pursuant to the representation made by the petitioners before the authority, the Block Land and

Land Reforms Officer, Mahishadal, Purba Medinipur held an enquiry into the matter and identified the Government land adjacent to the plot of the petitioners. The report says that there is no encroachment in front of Plot No. 114 belonging to the petitioners. In view of the above, nothing further remains to be adjudicated in the writ petition and the same is accordingly disposed of.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties on usual undertakings.
