1. The petitioner prays for interest on delayed payment of revised arrear remuneration.

2. From the averments made in the writ petition, it appears that the petitioner retired from service on attaining his normal age of superannuation in the year 2012.

3. The petitioner has approached this Court with a prayer for grant of interest in the year 2024.

4. There is no explanation in the writ petition with regard to the delay in approaching the Court. After more than twelve years of retirement, the prayer of the petitioner for grant of interest on account of delayed payment cannot be allowed.

5. The writ petition appears to be hopelessly time barred.

6. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant writ petition. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.
