1. This contempt application has been filed alleging willful disobedience and violation of the order dated 20th November, 2023, we find that the Sub-Divisional Officer, Basirhat, North 24 Parganas has issued notice on 20th February, 2024 to as many as 27 petitioners and 5 respondents and fixed hearing on 29th February, 2024.

2. The learned advocate appearing for the applicants submits that no further action has been taken. It cannot be disputed that the authorities are all deputed for duties in Parliamentary election.

3. Therefore, there will be a direction to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Basirhat, North 24 Parganas to fix a fresh date of hearing after June 10, 2024, hear the parties and comply with the directions issued in the writ petition.

4. With the aforesaid directions, C.P.A.N. 678 of 2024 stands disposed of.

5. No costs.

6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
