Banerjee) Mr. Shaunak Ghosh Mr. Avishek Guha Ms. Ankita Agrahari ...for the petitioner This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the plaintiff praying for a direction upon the learned Civil Judge (Sr. Division), Sealdah to dispose of Title Suit No. 118 of 2020 expeditiously.

In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite party.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that an application under Order 12 Rule 6 of the Code of Civil Procedure was fixed for hearing on March 11, 2025 and on that date the defendant remained absent for which the learned trial judge directed the defendant to show-cause as to why the suit shall not be proceeded as ex parte against the defendant.

From the order-sheets appended to this application this Court finds that June 16, 2025 has been fixed for filing of the show-cause by the defendant.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, CO 1494 of 2025 is disposed of by requesting the learned Civil Judge (Sr. Division), Sealdah to take a decision on the showcause directed to be filed by the defendant on June 16, 2025 as expeditiously as possible and also to make an endeavour to see that the application under Order 12 Rule 6 CPC is disposed of as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
