The order passed by the Deputy Secretary to the Government of West Bengal on 23rd November, 2015 and notice under Sections 50 and 57 of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 issued by the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Bankura-I on 20th March, 2023 are assailed in the writ petition. The matter pertains to the West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act and the West Bengal Land Reforms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioners seeks to approach before the appropriate forum for redressal of the grievance of the petitioners.

In view of the above, the writ petition, being WPA 9513 of 2023 is dismissed for non-prosecution. Liberty is granted to the petitioners to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of their grievance.

In the event the petitioners approach the appropriate forum within fifteen days from date, the appropriate forum shall consider the case of the petitioners on merit without dismissing the same on the ground of limitation.

There shall however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties on usual undertakings. (Suvra Ghosh, J.)
