Das ..for the respondent no.7 Mr. Santanu Mitra Ms. Munmun Tewari ..for the State This writ petition was filed with an allegation that the respondent no.7 was constructing a building, unauthorisedly. A report was handed over by the learned Advocate for the State respondents to this court on the last occasion. The report stated that upon enquiry made by the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer and the Pradhan of Jangipara Gram Panchayat, no illegal or unauthorized construction had been detected. It is further submitted that the representatives of the petitioners were also present at the time of inspection. On July 20, 2021, the report was taken on record but none appeared on behalf of the petitioners. A last chance was given to the petitioners to appear before this Court and the matter was fixed today. The petitioners are not present even today. Mr. Rudranil De, learned Advocate submits that the petitioners have not contacted Mr. De and have taken back the brief.

As it appears that the petitioners have lost their interest in the writ petition after the enquiry was held by the respondents, the writ petition is dismissed for default.

There will be however no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
