Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that his information which was furnished with the Officerin-Charge, Kotulpur Police Station on December 2024 was not acted upon. Petitioner is aggrieved by the act and actions of his sons who, according to the petitioner, are attempting to throw him out of the property. Petitioner further complains that he is an octogenarian and since his sons are influential, he is unable to get assistance from the police authorities.

State has submitted a report which reflects that continuously information has been furnished by the petitioner who is the father. It is also reflected that Misc Case vide Case No. 01/MISC/19 dated 11.01.2019 was filed by the petitioner against the private respondents before the learned Executive Magistrate, Bishnupur which was finally withdrawn. The nature of the dispute complained of

is a family feud. Police authorities have a very limited role to involve themselves in such type of disputes. However, considering the age of the petitioner, if any information is furnished, police authorities would oversee to the extent that no untoward incident or any incident is blown out of proportion because of the strained relationship existing between the petitioner and the private respondents.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 9666 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
