1. By this public interest litigation the petitioner states that there are several illegalities and irregularities going on in the Presidency Correctional Home, Alipore, Kolkata.

2. From the writ petition we find that the petitioner has not submitted any representation bringing out the grievances or the alleged irregularities or illegalities.

3. The petitioner before approaching this Court ought to have placed the facts before the concerned authority and in the event of any inaction by the concerned authority could have approached this Court. In any event without informing the concerned authorities, the petitioner should not have filed this writ petition which now in our view is premature at this stage.

4. Therefore, we dispose of this writ petition giving liberty to the petitioner to submit a representation to the 2nd respondent enclosing a copy of the affidavit filed in this writ petition as well as a copy

of this order and on receipt of the same, the 2nd respondent shall look into the matter and direct officers to conduct surprise inspection and if any illegalities or irregularities is found, appropriate action be taken in accordance with law.

5. This direction be complied with within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the representation of the petitioner.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
