Mr. Phiroze Edulji .....For the opposite parties This is an application for expeditious disposal of the case being NCB Crime No. 05/NCB/Kol/2018 under Section 20(b)(ii)(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The learned advocate, appearing for the petitioner, submits that the case has been containing for a long period of time and, therefore, an order should be passed for expeditious hearing of the case.

Mr. Y. J. Dastoor, learned Additional Solicitor General appears for the opposite party. He submits that the next date of evidence has been fixed on July 17, 2021.

In view of the fact that the case is pending for more than three years, this revisional application is disposed of with a direction upon the learned Special Judge, Barrackpore, North 24Parganas to make an endeavour to conclude the trial within a period of one year from date.
