CRIMINAL REVISIONAL JURISDICTION C.R.R. 1341 of 2021 (Via Video Conference) Sri Siddhartha Mondal -Vs- The State of West Bengal Mr. Ratan Das, ... for the petitioner Mr. Saswata Gopal Mukherjee, Mr. Sandip Chakraborty, ... for the State The grievance of the petitioner in this case, is that despite direction passed by this Court, the learned Sessions Judge in the Court below did not dispose of the Sessions Trial No. 05(08) 2013, pending before him.

It appears that the trial, in this case, is on the verge of completion. Recording of evidence is complete, and the next date has been fixed for argument.

Mr. Saswata Gopal Mukherjee, learned Public Prosecutor appears for the State and submits that the argument on behalf of the prosecution is complete, but the argument of defence is yet to start.

Be that as it may, this is a case of 2013, and should be disposed of at the earliest.

The revisional application is disposed of with a direction upon the learned Additional & Sessions Judge, 18th Court, Alipore, South 24-Parganas, to conclude the trial within a period of three months from date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

The revisional application being C.R.R. 1341 of 2021 is, thus, disposed of.

Let this order be communicated to the learned Additional & Sessions Judge, 18th Court, Alipore, through the registry of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all formalities, on the priority basis.
