The petitioner complains of alleged inaction by Jagatballavpur Police Station, Howrah Rural District in respect of FIR No. 96 of 2022 dated 20.05.2022. Instructions of Jagatballavpur Police Station, Howrah Rural District dated 7th December, 2022 clearly indicate that Charge-sheet No. 100 of 2022 had been filed on 31st May, 2022.

In that view of the matter, this Court sees no inaction on the part of the Jagatballavpur Police Station, Howrah Rural District.

The Officer-in-charge, Jagatballavpur Police Station, Howrah Rural District shall, however, make attempt to trace out the absconding accused persons and take steps towards proclamation and attachment to secure their presence in the trial.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

The instructions of the Officer-in-charge, Jagatballavpur Police Station, Howrah Rural District dated 7th December, 2022 be taken on record.

There will be no order as to costs.
