The order dated 17.6.2021 passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Hon'ble Court reflects that the writ petitioners had complained of police inaction as they were not being allowed to enter into their residences by the local persons after the result of Assembly Election in West Bengal was declared. The appropriate direction was given to the Inspector-in-Charge, Hasnabad Police Station for ensuring peace in the locality so that the petitioners can return to their

respective residences. The order so passed was complied with by the Police Administration and the report has been submitted by Inspector-in-Charge, Hasnabad Police Station, Basirhat Police District, North 24 Parganas dated 23.6.2021. On perusal of the police report, it appears that the petitioners, namely, Ruhul Amin Molla, Rabiul Islam Gazi and Firoz Kamal Gazi have peacefully returned to their respective houses. Now, there is no grievance as such of the police inaction by the petitioners and this fact is admitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners have returned to their respective residences with the help and assistance of the police.

Therefore, having regard to the police report and upon hearing the learned counsel for the parties, the writ application being W.P.A. 10559 of 2021 is required to be disposed of.

Accordingly, W.P.A. 10559 of 2021 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
