This is an application praying for quashing of a proceeding in G.R. Case No. 79 of 2025 arising out of Girish Park Police Station/Detective Department Case No. 7 dated 20.01.2025 on the ground of settlement and compromise.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the accused petitioners submits as follows. Certain disputes between friends and family members had led to the registration of the FIR. All such disputes have now been settled fully and finally between the private parties and the parties want the criminal proceeding to be quashed on the ground of compromise.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the private opposite parties submits as follows. The disputes that had led to the initiation of the impugned proceeding have all been finally settled and compromised. The purported transactions were all between friends and family and a final settlement has been arrived at. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the case diary and submits that the State would not come in the way, if the private parties decide to settle the matter. It appears that a final settlement has been arrived at between the private parties of all disputes that had led to the registration of

the instant FIR. Further statements of all the alleged victims were recorded in this regard.

In view of the above, the impugned proceeding is quashed on the ground of settlement.

CRAN 3 of 2025 shall, accordingly, stand disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities. (Jay Sengupta, J.) ssi
