The petitioner is the widowed daughter of a deceased Assistant Teacher of Udang High School, Amta, District : Howrah. She is praying family pension.

In terms of the order dated June 23, 2023, she has filed a formal application along with relevant documents before the school authority which the school authority has sent to the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), District : Howrah, the respondent no.4 herein.

Mr. Chattopadhyay, learned Advocate for the State respondents on instruction submits that the respondent no.4 is required to verify the said documents to process prayer of the petitioner for which four week time is necessary. The respondent no.4 is directed to consider the prayer of the petitioner for family pension in accordance with law within a period of four weeks and in the event she is found eligible for such pension, the said respondent shall take follow up steps for disbursement of it.

W.P.A. 9579 of 2023 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
