Mr. N. Ahmed Mr. Anwar Hossain Ms. Trina Mitra ...for the State The petitioner's prayer for bail was rejected earlier by a Co-ordinate Bench by order dated April 9, 2021 passed in CRM No. 1520 of 2021.

The charge against the petitioner is under sections 342/506 of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 17 of the POCSO Act.

We have seen the material in the case diary and have considered the overall facts and circumstances of the case. From the material on record we prima facie find complicity of the petitioner in the commission of the alleged offence. We are also told that the trial is at the concluding stage and only two witnesses remain to be examined.

In the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the gravity and nature of the charge against the petitioner, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer. The application for bail being C.R.M. 3881 of 2021 is, accordingly, rejected.
