1) Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2) By presenting this writ petition, prayer is made for giving direction upon the concerned police authorities to take steps based on the complaints dated 10th April, 2026 and 21st April, 2026 lodged by the petitioner. It is submitted by learned advocate representing the petitioner that he is willing to repair the premises in question. According to the petitioner, if steps are taken by the police authorities based on the complaints lodged by the petitioner in that event same would facilitate repairing work of the petitioner.

3) Learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State respondents has placed a

communication dated 11th June, 2026 of Officer-inCharge, Amherst Street Police Station, Kolkata. Same is taken on record.

4) Respondent nos. 5 and 6 are represented by learned advocate.

5) Having heard the learned advocate representing respondent nos. 5 and 6 and taking note of the communication dated 11th June, 2026 of Officer-inCharge, Amherst Street Police Station, Kolkata, query is posed to the learned advocate about petitioner's right over the premises in question but Court does not get any satisfactory reply.

6) However, submission is made on behalf of the petitioner that he purchased the property from respondent no. 5 though subsequently it was learnt that respondent no. 5 is not the owner of the property. Such submission made on behalf of the petitioner is disputed by the learned advocate representing the respondent no. 5

7) From the submissions made on behalf of the parties, it appears that issue involved in this writ petition pertains to civil dispute requiring the parties to approach the appropriate forum.

8) However, concerned police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale and keep vigil so that no untoward incident takes place.

9) Writ petition stands disposed of.

10) Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
