The petitioner was granted bail by an order dated April 24, 2023, passed by a Coordinate Bench, inter alia, on the conditions that he shall remain within the district of North Parganas except for the purpose of investigation and attending court proceeding and shall report to the Officer in charge of the concerned police station within whose jurisdiction he shall presently reside once in a week until further orders.

The petitioner has now applied before us for waiver of the condition requiring him to report to the Officer in charge of the concerned police station, which, in this case, is Barasat Police Station. He says that he has been complying with the conditions of bail since April, 2023. It causes great inconvenience to him. He shall continue to attend each and every Court hearing.

Learned State Advocate says that as far as his instruction goes, there is no adverse report as against this petitioner. He has been adhering to the bail conditions.

Noting that there is little possibility of an early conclusion of the trial, we are inclined to allow the prayer of the petitioner.

Accordingly, the condition of bail requiring the petitioner to report to the Officer in charge of the concerned police station (Barasat Police Station) within whose jurisdiction he is presently residing, stands relaxed to the extent that it will be sufficient for him to report to the Barasat Police Station once in a month instead of once in a week.

The other conditions of bail remain unaltered. 7.

CRAN 1 of 2024 is, accordingly, disposed of.
