Ms. Kakali Naskar ... for the State-respondent(s) The petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that in spite of informing the police authorities, no steps have been taken for protection of their life and property.

State has submitted a report which reflects that there is a long standing land dispute existing between the petitioners and the private respondent(s).

Learned advocate for the State submits that over the said issue, the police authorities have drawn up a proceeding under Section 126 of the BNSS at the relevant point of time.

I have considered the report which reflects that the police authorities have knowledge regarding the dispute existing between the petitioners and the private respondent(s).

Accordingly, the police authorities would keep their surveillance as also ensure that no untoward incident results because of the strained relationship existing between the parties.

However, if there is any complaint which reflects that the situation has blown out of the proportion, the police authorities will not hesitate to take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 9632 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
