Sr. St. Counsel, Mr. Simanta Kabir ...for the State Mr. Souma Subhra Roy ....for the respondent nos. 4 to 6 The petitioner complains of alleged inaction on the part of the Lake Town Police Station. The petitioner had challenged a final report of the police and the ACJM has ordered further investigation. It has been found by the learned ACJM that all stridhan articles could not be recovered at the time of investigation.

Counsel for the police submits that despite repeated attempts, apart from some articles, none of the other articles as stated by the petitioner has been recovered.

If the petitioner is able to demonstrate before the concerned Magistrate or the Sessions Court of suppression and withholding of stridhan articles by the private respondents, steps may be taken in that regard in terms of the law.

Counsel for the private respondent/husband submits that his client has returned all the stridhan articles.

Counsel for the petitioner points out deliberate scandalous interpolation by the husband in the cause title as set out in the affidavit-in-opposition by the respondent nos. 4, 5 and 6. The statements appear to be deliberate and wilfully contumacious on the face of record.

This Court imposed costs assessed at Rs.

11,000/- each on the private respondent nos. 4, 5 and 6 and this to be paid to the petitioner in this regard.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.
