The petitioner alleges that respondent no.9 has constructed one additional floor above the sanctioned G+3 building.

The Municipality submits that a self-demolition order was issued by the Municipality. After an inspection, a part of the unauthorised construction was found to be demolished. The Municipality shall further inspect the premises and demolish the remaining unauthorised portion of the building. In that view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Municipality to cause an inspection at the premises in question giving due notice to the petitioner and respondent no.9

within a period of seven days from date. After inspection, if it is found that some unauthorised construction is still there, the Municipality shall take steps to demolish the same within a period of two weeks thereafter.

Accordingly, WPA 10581 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on compliance of usual legal formalities.
