Mr. Rana Mukherjee, Mr. Sabir Ahmed, Advocates for the State, present in Court The petitioner had filed the present writ petition praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the accused Hrishikesh Sapui after releasing him from custody. The report dated 4.1.2021 filed in Court is taken on record.

As per the aforesaid report, the bail application filed by Hrishikesh Sapui was rejected by this Court vide order dated 21.09.1998 passed in CRA No.287 of 1998. Learned Counsel for the State further submitted that after completion of the sentence awarded to the accused, he was released from jail.
