The petitioner is an Associate Professor of the Department of Bengali at Raghunathpur College, District- Purulia; he is also a member of the Governing Body of the said college. Mr. Biswas, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that though his client has challenged the order dated July 12, 2024 of the Deputy Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Department of Higher Education, C.S. Branch, the respondent no.3 herein whereby Dr. Sadhana Khawas has been replaced by Sri Soumen Beltharia in the post of President of the Governing Body of the college but the main grievance of the petitioner is the inertness of the present President, the respondent no.5 herein to take appropriate steps for better administration of the college. Learned advocate for the respondent no.5 submits that his client has taken charge only in the month of July 2024 and thereafter has taken all possible steps for the better administration of the said college.
The respondent no.5 is directed to take appropriate steps necessary for the better administration of the institution including holding regular meetings.
WPA 9649 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
