This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioners are aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in considering the representation made by the petitioners on January 11, 2018.

Upon hearing the counsel appearing on behalf of the parties and upon consideration the materials on record, I am of the view that a decision is required to be taken by the respondent authority at the earliest.

Accordingly, I direct the respondent no.2 to consider the representation made by the writ petitioners on January 11, 2018 upon granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and other relevant persons and thereafter, pass a reasoned order within a period of twelve weeks from date. The reasoned order should be communicated to the petitioners within a period of one week of passing the same. With these observations, WPA 8156 of 2018 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
