Commercial quantity of contraband items was recovered from the possession of the petitioner. In view of the restriction in Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioner's prayer for bail.

We are told that the petitioner is in custody for about three years.

The State says that the trial is in progress. In view of the protracted detention of the petitioner, we request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the extent

possible and bring the same to its logical conclusion at an early date and preferably within 15 months from date. C.R.M. No.3927 of 2021 is, accordingly, dismissed.
