The petitioner is aggrieved by the prolonged cross-examination that began on January 05, 2019.

The petitioner has instituted Matrimonial Suit No. 1009 of 2017 before the learned Additional District Judge, 8th Court at Alipore, South 24Parganas for dissolution of marriage. 3.

In the said suit, the petitioner's crossexamination began on January 05, 2019 which was closed on February 10, 2020. Thereafter, the petitioner was recalled for further crossexamination on January 04, 2021.

Mr. Karmakar, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that since January 2021 the petitioner's cross-examination on recall has been continuing and has not yet ended. It is submitted that the petitioner is being unnecessarily harassed because of the protracted crossexamination.

In view of the nature of the order proposed to be passed by this Court, direction for prior service of notice along with a copy of the revisional application on the opposite party is not being made, however, the petitioner shall remain obliged to serve a copy of the revisional application along with a copy of this order upon the opposite party within a week from date.

Having heard Mr.

Karmakar, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner and having perused the material-on-record, this revisional application is disposed of by requesting the learned Additional District Judge, 8th Court at Alipore, South 24-Parganas to fix appropriate short dates so that the petitioner's cross-examination can be concluded as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the next date fixed without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

C.O. 1440 of 2026 stands disposed of with the above observations. There shall be no order as to costs.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
