It is submitted by the learned counsel for the parties that election is over and charge has been handed over to the new elected members.

The issue of legality of the provisions of the West Bengal Cooperative Societies Act and Rules and its interpretation is left open to be decided in an appropriate proceeding. The same has become rather academic in the instant case.

With the aforesaid observations, the appeals are disposed of.

Consequently, all connected pending applications, if any, are also disposed of.

In the order dated 8th August, 2025, in the array of advocates, the name of "Mr. Biplab Dey", who represents the Registrar Co-operative Societies, West Bengal, shall stand corrected and be read as "Mr. Biplab Das". 5.

Let the aforesaid correction be incorporated in the order dated 8th August, 2025.

The other parts of the order dated 8th August, 2025 shall remain unaltered.

There shall be no order as to costs.
