The petitioner is the husband of the victim. The charges are under Sections 498A/302/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner says that the victim suffered head injury after falling from the roof of the house. She succumbed to such injury.

We have seen the material in the case diary including the post mortem report. The post mortem report records multiple injury on different parts of the victim's body. An iron rod was recovered pursuant to information supplied by the petitioner. The same was also sent for examination and the report that has been obtained also implicates the petitioner. In view of the gravity and nature of the alleged offence and the prima facie incriminating material on record,

although charge sheet has been filed, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. CRM No. 4110 of 2021 is accordingly dismissed. ( Suvra Ghosh, J. ) ( Arijit Banerjee, J. )
