Heard the learned Advocates for the parties.

We have considered the materials on record. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier on the ground that he had absconded. Date has been fixed for recording evidence. Prosecution assures the Court trial shall be concluded within one year from the next date fixed for recording evidence subject to co-operation by defence and systemic delays. 3.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

We direct the trial court to expedite the trial in light of the assurance given by the prosecution.
