Report submitted on behalf of the State is taken on record. The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of ST no. 03(01) of 2021 corresponding to SC no. 109 of 2018 pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track, 1st Court, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas.

This Court is informed that charge was framed on 28th January, 2021. Out of fourteen charge sheeted witnesses, 3 and 8 have expired and witness no.10 is not traceable. Evidence is yet to commence.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track, 1st Court, Barrackpore be directed to dispose of the case within two years from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting unnecessary adjournment to either party, in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, the revisional application, being CRR 1565 of 2024 is disposed of.
