This is the fifth time that the petitioner is praying for bail. His earlier prayers were rejected by coordinate Benches of this Court.

The petitioner submits that he is in custody for five years after being falsely implicated and his further detention is not required.

The State submits that the trial is at its fag end and only the examination of the Investigating Officer remains. Having considered the material on record prima facie suggesting involvement of the petitioner in the alleged crime and in view of the nature and gravity of the offence and also the fact that the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected several times earlier, we are inclined to hold that prayer of the petitioner for bail cannot be acceded to at this stage.

The application for bail being CRM 3987 of 2021 is, thus, dismissed.

However, we request the learned trial Court to bring the trial to its logical conclusion as soon as the business of the court may permit.
