Siddiqui ... ... for the State Mr. Suvro Prakash Lahiri, learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submits that his client has applied to the Secretary, Judicial Department, Government of West Bengal; the Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamp Revenue and the District Registrar, Hooghly for being appointed as Muslim Marriage Registrar and Kazi in the Jangipur Police Station, District: Hooghly. He submits that the request has not been considered till date.

Mr. T. M. Siddiqui, learned counsel appearing for the State-respondents submits that such application cannot be unilaterally considered unless the formal advertisement inviting applications is issued by the State in this regard. However, since the writ petitioner has made an application, the District Registrar, Hooghly, namely, the respondent no.5 herein shall consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26th April, 2021 and communicate a suitable reply.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been called for by this Court, the allegations in the writ application shall not be deemed to have been admitted by any of the respondents.

There shall be no order as to costs.
