Let a copy of this application be served upon Mr. Imran Ali, learned counsel, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. He is requested to represent the State in this case. His engagement may be regularized in due course.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an accused in this case. The FIR was

lodged on 04.07.2021 and a charge sheet was submitted on 23.08.2021. On 15.02.2022, copies were served and charges were framed on 24.03.2023. Yet, till date not a single witness could be examined. The proceeding has remained pending for no fault of the petitioner.

Heard the learned counsel for the State.

No prejudice will be caused to anyone if a direction is passed to expedite the proceeding.

It appears that some delay has been occasioned in conducting the proceeding, especially after framing of charge. In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the learned trial Court is requested to conclude the proceeding in accordance with law and at the earliest, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties.

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
